DESCRIPTION: Seth Thomas Clock Co., Thomaston, Conn., "Regulator No. 3" wall hanging clock with a weight driven, 8 day, timepiece movement with a dead-beat escapement and maintaining power in an oak case.
CONDITION: The case is stamped "289 B & O" indicating it was originally a station clock for the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. The case has loss in several areas including the bezel door as well as the base door. The base of the clock appears to be replace, but very well done. The dial is repainted. The hands are original. The door glasses are original. The movement is signed and has a nicely damascened front plate. The brass clad weight has the nicely knurled top and bottom plates.
